Tammi Cox, County Clerk, told the commission that the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) is currently in the courthouse basement and proposed placing Emergency Management in that basement space after the Extension Office completes its move across the street. Cox said moving HR into the outgoing Emergency Management office would make practical sense once the spaces became available.
Facilities Director Keith Coleman and outgoing Emergency Management Director Marie Ballou told the commission that the basement would provide more space and would save repeatedly transporting equipment. The commission reached consensus to proceed with relocations once the Extension Office move is complete and space becomes available; no formal motion or timeline was recorded in the minutes.
