The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners voted to approve an agreement with Keystone Forensics LLC of Allentown to provide professional autopsy and testimony services for the Coroner’s Office. The contract is for $360,000 per year to cover up to 216 autopsies annually; any autopsy above 216 will be billed at $1,800 each. The contract term runs Dec. 1, 2026, through Dec. 31, 2029, and is funded from the county General Fund.
Commissioner Alice Yoder moved the measure and Commissioner Ray D’Agostino seconded it; both voted yes and Commissioner Parsons was recorded as absent for the vote. The minutes note that either party may terminate the agreement on 90 days’ written notice. The action was recorded by the commissioners as a formal contract approval under the Coroner’s Office budget.
