Supervisors approve school resource officer contracts after debate over step rates and overtime savings

The motion to approve was moved by Supervisor Roche and passed 6–1, with Supervisor Kehl recorded as the dissenting vote.
For Attica Central School the contract uses Step 1 hourly rates ($53.57–$55.73 depending on the date ranges) and was approved by a 5–2 vote, with Supervisors Klein and Becker recorded as voting no (MUNIS CONTRACT #3773). Sheriff Linder said there is $10,000 in overtime savings and "on paper" $17,000, adding the actual difference is $7,000 according to his figures as recorded in the minutes.
