Iron County’s Finance Committee voted May 20 to adopt an IT strategic plan aimed at replacing outdated local servers and standardizing systems across departments.
IT Director Danny Gardner told members the plan emphasizes consolidation, cloud hosting to reduce security risk, improved backup systems and standardized equipment and network structures. Committee members said the approach is expected to produce long-term cost savings and reduce the county’s exposure to inconsistent departmental systems. Hiller moved to approve Resolution 2026-4082; Snyder seconded and the motion carried unanimously.
