The Fayette County Land Bank Board of Directors voted May 11 to accept the lowest and best bids for demolition and asbestos removal on a set of properties under the 2026 Demolition Grant. The board approved contractor awards that included Jacob Rose for 1126 E. Temple at $8,044 and 410 Delaware at $8,880, Bishop Demolition at $6,000 for 314 Fountain St. and 1343 Grace St., and Fillmore at $22,600 for 716 Broadway Street.
Mr. Garland moved to accept the listed bids and Mrs. Brenda Mossbarger seconded; Chair Tony Anderson called for a voice vote and recorded the motion as passed unanimously. The board noted that no treasurer’s report was available at the meeting and that Ramboll reviewed the bid package before the vote. The board recorded the action as an acceptance of the lowest and best bids for the properties listed in the bid package.
The approved list of properties and awarded bid amounts were reviewed in open session; the board did not record individual dissent. The action will allow contractors to proceed with demolition/asbestos-abatement work once other procedural requirements are met.
