Lincoln Parish Police Jury ratifies Public Works committee approvals, awards wastewater and asphalt contracts

The Lincoln Parish Police Jury on April 14 ratified actions reported by the Public Works Committee, including authorization of Change Order No. 2 for the Detention Center HVAC Project in the amount of $20,916.00 contingent on approval by the Louisiana Office of Community Development. Milton Melton reported the committee also authorized substantial completion for the HVAC work and declared an Astrophysics XTS X-Ray Imaging security scanner surplus and authorized advertisement for bids.
The Jury approved awards for wastewater renovation and road materials: Wastewater Treatment and Collection System Renovations—Contract I was awarded to Womack and Sons Construction Group, LLC for $881,843.00 and Contract II to BLD Services, LLC for $550,610.00. The bid for asphalt materials was awarded to Asphalt Product Unlimited, Inc. Dan Lord moved to approve the Public Works Committee minutes (which documented these actions); Annette Straughter seconded and the motion carried with the nine jurors present voting yea.
