Beverly Obery urges police action after resident traps and dumps village cats

Beverly Obery, speaking on behalf of Top Notch Cats during public comment, told the Board of Trustees that a resident had been trapping cats and taking them to other towns and dumping them there. She said this harms animals and local residents who care for them.
"This is cruelty to animals and the Village has an Ordinance against such treatment of animals," Obery said. President Cummings responded that he would ask the Police Chief to speak with the resident identified as causing the issue, directing staff to follow up.
