Highway Superintendent Jerry Ault presented sealed bid tabulations and recommended awarding projects to the lowest bidders. All Star Paving submitted lowest bids on projects 1‑4, 1‑5 and 1‑6 totaling $105,178.15; Dave O'Mara submitted the lowest bids on the remaining 20 projects totaling $1,583,401.85. Commissioners voted to award the bids to the lowest bidders; the combined award total is $1,688,580.00.
Ault also updated the board on flood recovery and cleanup efforts and said the department has not yet received a response from FEMA regarding reimbursement or assistance. Commissioners approved the bid awards and instructed Highway staff to continue documenting expenses to support potential FEMA claims.
