Aaron Cadore of HHSA reported to the commission that American Canyon residents constitute about 25% of In-Home Supportive Services (IHSS) recipients in the county and approximately 30% of IHSS care providers live in or near American Canyon. Cadore said IHSS introduced new provider orientations last fall to improve training and service delivery.
Cadore also described a finalized county agreement with Kaiser intended to improve coordination for IHSS recipients who have Kaiser coverage in Napa County. The report was presented as an informational standing report; commissioners did not take formal action based on the IHSS update during the meeting.
