Commission adds co-promoter to 2026 fairgrounds racetrack lease

Chris Sutton and BJ Wagoner asked the Commissioners to approve an updated lease so both promoters could operate the RPM dirt racetrack for the remainder of the 2026 season. County Counselor Bill Jeter told the Board the change "does not change anything other than adding another entity for being insured" and does not extend the contract beyond its current 2026 expiration.
Commissioner Nathan Leiker moved to approve the updated lease for the 2026 race season. The motion passed by a 3–0 voice vote. The update adds Wagoner to the lease document and signature lines but does not guarantee either promoter a new agreement in 2027; the County retains discretion if Sutton does not seek renewal.
