The commission approved a design‑build contract with PWC and Tesserae of Wichita to renovate the Law Enforcement Center’s basement and main floor. County administrator Darren Myers said the commission selected the team after an RFP process and that designers and subcontractors held a kickoff meeting May 27 to begin clarifications for the design phase.
Myers told the commission the goal is to complete plans and obtain approval from the state fire marshal’s office by mid to late July so demolition and construction can proceed. Commissioner motion and second carried; the contract was approved in open session.
