Bridge #113 closed for repairs; county to seek federal funding for Bridge #64

Highway Superintendent Robert Howell told the commissioners Sept. 8 that repair work on Bridge #113 (on 600 W between SR 26 and 200 N) began that day and the road will remain closed until a guardrail is installed. Howell said CivilCon is expected to install the guardrail on Thursday, contingent on materials and scheduling.
Howell also said the county will apply for federal funding for Bridge #64 in December with assistance from SJCA; commissioners approved SJCA Task Order #2 by unanimous vote. The board also approved routine maintenance actions and authorized a dump truck visit to a Westminster daycare for a "touch a truck" event on Sept. 18, 2025.
