At the Oct. 10 Lantana workshop the council took the following formal and directional actions.
The council voted to approve the workshop agenda. "Hearing none, all in favor signify by saying aye." Chair announced the motion carried "5 0." That was the only formal roll-call vote recorded during the workshop.
By consensus or direction the council asked staff to: (1) explore a public-art program (murals and utility-box wraps) and return with procurement and cost options; (2) draft an ordinance and permitting scheme for mobile food vendors, differentiating by zoning district and including special-event permitting and deposit/cleanup proposals; and (3) work with the town attorney to draft options for renewing or converting the town manager's contract to an open-ended term. Staff indicated drafts will be brought to the next workshop tentatively scheduled for Nov. 21.
