The Beaver County Board of Commissioners held a public hearing May 5, 2026, on a Community Development Block Grant application seeking $300,000 to purchase a new ambulance for Beaver County Fire District 1. Commissioner Wade Hollingshead opened the hearing and said the meeting "this hearing was called to allow all citizens to provide input concerning the project that was awarded under the 2026 grant year Community Development Block Grant Program." No members of the public offered comment during the hearing.
Beaver County staff told attendees the county amended its capital investment plan and applied on behalf of Beaver County Fire District 1. Commissioner Hollingshead introduced representatives Anona Yardley and Jennifer McIlnay from the fire district. Officials said the application was successful in the regional rating and ranking process and that the Fire District is requesting $300,000; the total project cost was stated as $300,000. Copies of the county's capital investment plan were made available to the public. The hearing was adjourned at 10:10 a.m. No vote was recorded at the meeting on the application.
