Lantana council sets final millage at 3.75 mills

Finance Director Stephen Caplan told the council, “This budget keeps the millage rate at 3.75,” and the clerk noted that figure is 6.17% above the rollback rate of 3.5322. After a motion to adopt Resolution R-11-2025 and a second, the council voted “aye” and the motion carried five-zero.
Why it matters: Council and staff said rising property values will increase property tax revenue next year, which affects revenue projections even though the millage rate remains unchanged. The council’s action formally fixes the tax rate the town will use to calculate property tax bills for the coming fiscal year.
