Jay County approves owner-occupied rehab contracts and claims

Commissioners approved execution of Owner-Occupied Rehab (OOR) contracts and authorized multiple program claims including Fortitude Consulting, Dave's Heating & Cooling and EGIS; staff reported weather-related homeowner concerns and said ECIRPD will complete the CCMG grant work and stay through the program closeout.
Representatives from ECIRPD updated the commissioners on the Owner-Occupied Rehab program and presented claims for payment. Darlesia Lee, assistant director, and Bill Walters, director, said all OOR contracts are ready to be signed and that heavy rains have created concerns for some homeowners that the program is addressing.
Commissioners approved the OOR claims as presented, including Fortitude Consulting invoices of $21,500, $18,161.81 and $561.19; Dave's Heating & Cooling for $421; and EGIS for $11,449.30. Bill Walters confirmed ECIRPD will complete the CCMG grant work and remain through program closeout, which staff estimated would finish by October. The motion to approve the claims passed unanimously.
