A commission member raised concerns during Other Business about housing availability after noting increased participation by children and families at recent community activities. The member said Windsor's schools, recreation, parks and events support young families, but limited housing supply remains a barrier to retaining and attracting them.
Commissioners discussed how housing availability intersects with economic development, population trends, and community services and suggested the Town Plan update should address these linkages. The Commission also discussed inviting Town Manager Trevor Lashua to a future meeting to coordinate municipal information for the update; Director Hallie Abuayyash will coordinate with the Town Manager.
