Road & Bridge Supervisor Josh Hinch told the Board June 15 that crews are performing asphalt patching at the Keene‑Eskridge Road culvert and on Mission Valley Road and that the next step toward closing out an HRRR grant will be a chip‑and‑seal on Mission Valley Road.
Hinch reported a culvert failure on Windy Hill Road south of I‑70 that crews will replace next, and he provided a separate estimate for building repairs to inform future budgeting. He said Permazyme is planning to begin application of its dust‑control product on July 7, with preparation work starting Monday, July 6; the contractor plans to prep and apply one mile per day and to close two‑mile sections each day, with message boards placed in advance. Hinch told the Board he expects state and county officials to observe the trial and evaluate the product.
The Board asked Hinch to follow up with contractors who were not yet able to provide building-repair estimates so projects can be considered in future budgets. No formal funding or contract awards were made at the June 15 meeting; Hinch said he will review bids and supplier timelines with engineers and return with recommendations.
