Superintendent Dan Grabowska told trustees that "due to action taken by the legislature, the following required policies must to be approved" and read the list of policies brought to the board for adoption. The policies approved included: 2050 Innovative Student Instruction; 2100 School Calendar Day; 2150 Suicide Awareness and Prevention; 2334 Release Time for Religious Instruction; 2335 Human Sexuality Instruction and Identity Instructions; 3310 Student Discipline; 5252 Notice of Nonrenewal of Nontenured Teacher for Financial Reasons; and 8560 Display of Flags and Banners on District Property.
Trustee Brad Norman moved to approve the required policies as presented; Trustee Joel Bertolino seconded the motion and the board adopted the policies unanimously. The board did not provide detailed policy text in the public minutes; the superintendent referenced legislative action as the reason the policies were listed as required.
