At the March 17 meeting the treasurer reviewed minutes and financial reports and presented multiple contracts for approval. Items included Acer Chromebook warranties, a residential student-service lease, a boiler replacement through Blough Mechanical at a central utility plant, server purchases, camera and AP license renewals, and custodial-contract renewals with Scarlet and Gray.
The treasurer described a five-year naming-rights and sponsorship agreement with Motes Engineering: "That is for 5 years, $100,000," he said, explaining the company’s logo will appear in the Alumni Room. Board members acknowledged Brad Motes as a longtime supporter and referenced a recent company ownership change to Mike Murdock. The agenda also listed nine donation items, including philanthropic support for field trips to the Holocaust and Humanities Center.
Officials noted the operational committee will review lunch-program decisions next year, including whether to remove primary and elementary buildings from the federal school lunch program, which would trigger a formal request for proposals if the district stays in the program.
