Indian Hill students honored for arts, DECA, mock trial and state track titles

Board members spent part of the meeting recognizing student accomplishments in arts and athletics. The Indian Hill Arts Conservatory video showcased programs from primary to high school and the board announced the launch of an Arts Conservatory Hall of Fame to celebrate alumni achievements.
The superintendent congratulated students for success at the DECA State Career Development Conference (104 competing students, 35 finalists and 25 state champions). The mock trial team advanced to state competition after placing among the top five at regionals; team members were listed and publicly recognized. The board also celebrated the boys’ and girls’ 4x800 relay teams, which captured state championships at the Ohio Association of Track and Cross Country Coaches indoor meet; the boys’ team set a school record.
Amy Clark, the district's director of arts, was called forward for recognition, and the board thanked music, theater and coaching staff, naming individual student athletes and coaches during the ceremony.
