The council approved the vehicle purchase and the related equipment packages unanimously.
On body cameras and tasers, Chief Scheller introduced an Axon representative and said the department's current equipment will expire in December. An Axon representative described translation and AI features and explained auto-activation triggers for cameras. Council Member Castle moved to approve the five-year, $760,000 Axon agreement; the motion passed 5–0. The manager was authorized to execute the agreements and any necessary amendments.
