Students describe Experienceships and entrepreneurship programs that led to internships and job shadows

Charlotte Picton, a junior, said the program led to job shadows and internships at firms including Deloitte, Procter & Gamble, MSA Design and Gorilla Glue and helped her secure a marketing and event-planning internship through the Indian Hill Foundation. "Through this program, I have had the chance to job shadow at internationally recognized companies like Deloitte, Procter and Gamble, PL Marketing, Gorilla Glue, and more," she said.
Senior Caroline Ranala described interning for the nonprofit 1 in 5 and leading a team for the "Warrior Race," which aims to raise mental-health awareness. Jane Holbrook, a junior, told the board she worked with P&G and DMG, used an AI-based legal contract analysis tool in a summer internship, and served in Hamilton County Youth Court roles. Jaya and other student leaders said they formed committees (spirit, community service, professional development) and worked with school leadership to surface student concerns and design programs.
Superintendent Dr. Stewart said the Experienceships program is the largest in its history, with 170 high-school students actively enrolled and a growing pipeline of site visits, career-connections events and summer internships. The board praised the student presenters and encouraged continued engagement with local employers and the community.
