Town Clerk Kathleen Dominguez recapped City Government Week outreach and introduced two student videos entered in a Lantana "What Makes Lantana Great" contest. Dominguez said the video contest invited middle and high school students to capture why the town is special.
"Our winning submission comes from a group of students who call themselves the Wavemakers," Dominguez said, introducing the Palm Beach Maritime Academy team. Alexis Wilson, speaking for the Wavemakers, thanked organizers and described the experience as an opportunity to highlight Lantana's natural and civic features.
Council members and staff praised the entries and the library's role in providing a storytelling studio for students. The council presented prizes and encouraged continued youth engagement in civic programs.
