Alan Bornstein, identified as president of the local Kiwanis chapter, presented several donations to the council during the special presentations portion of the meeting. "I would like to present the Lantana Police Explorers $2,000," Bornstein said, and handed the council a second set of gift cards for officers to use in the community.
Bornstein also introduced Jane Richardson of a foster‑children support group and presented a $1,500 check to that organization. A Chamber representative thanked Bornstein and described the chamber's twice‑annual charitable 'shred' event that funds local non‑profits. Mayor Karen Lisco and council members accepted the gifts and thanked Kiwanis and the Chamber for supporting public safety and local caregiving nonprofits.
