The Town of Fenton Board adopted its 2026 organizational plan and compensation schedule at the Jan. 7 meeting. The Board set regular meetings for the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 PM, work sessions at 6:00 PM the Wednesday before the last Thursday, and scheduled Planning Board and ZBA meeting cadences. The appointments were adopted by motion of Councilman Thomas Moss, seconded by Thomas Cook, and carried on a roll-call vote with four members present and one absent.
The Board designated Richard H. Miller, III as Town Attorney, appointed Mark Hillman as Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant, reappointed Ruth McMullen as Town Historian and named Melodie Bowersox Registrar of Vital Statistics with Rebekah Evans as Deputy Town Clerk. Officer assignments included Matthew Banks as Building Inspector and John Broughton as Deputy Building Inspector; Greg Starley remains Dog Control Officer and Hillcrest Water & Sewer Operator, and Devon Ritter as Assistant Water Operator. The Board also adopted a detailed compensation schedule that lists, among other figures, Supervisor salary $22,057; Town Clerk $55,125; Highway Superintendent $77,175; and Building Inspector $58,433. The adoption was recorded by roll call (Cook, Moss, Pray, and Gunster voting aye; Husar absent).
