The board moved ahead on its superintendent search after consultant Rob Hess walked trustees through a multi-step schedule: an initial screening round (4–8 candidates), a semifinal Zoom round, and a finalist day tentatively set for May 1 with campus tours, small-group interviews and a public meet-and-greet. Hess said the district would provide one-page applicant summaries, reference checks and media/background notes to the committee ahead of screening. "You'll get a one‑page summary of each applicant ... we'll send those to you after everything closes on Monday," he said.
Hess also said the district will present a QR code and other mechanisms so community members can submit feedback during the finalist day, and recommended limiting finalists to two or three to keep the schedule manageable. "There'll be a QR code that people will be able to give feedback all throughout that day on May 1," Hess said. After discussion about logistics and committee composition, the board moved and approved the appointment of the search committee members as described in the meeting materials.
