The Vernonia School District Board approved the appointment of Susan Wagner to a three-year term on the Budget Committee at its April 9 meeting.
Business Manager Marie Knight presented the financial report and said the district's estimated ending fund balance is $164,993; she cautioned that March transactions may not yet be posted because the report was produced before the end of the month. Knight said she is nearly finished preparing the 2026–27 budget document and is working to produce clearer reports for the board.
Amy Cieloha moved to appoint Wagner for the 2026–27 budget season; Tony Holmes seconded, and the motion passed unanimously. The board also reviewed a Budget Committee application and scheduled the Budget Committee meeting for April 23, 2026.
