Auditor Shamil Lam presented certified tax rates and the commission adopted them as presented. He said the county general rate was transcribed as 0.001978 and would yield $5,877,289 in county property tax revenue, an increase of $205,444 attributable to new growth. An additional county‑collected rate was transcribed as 0.000301 producing $905,004. Shamil said no Truth in Taxation increase was proposed and that the rates reflect assessed values and statutory constraints.
The commission also approved the 2026 tax sale minutes; staff reported 39 properties were initially eligible for sale, nine were redeemed and most sale lots were purchased by one bidder (Ann Marie Blanchard) with one lot sold to Robert and Mary Foley. The approval allows staff to proceed with deed recording and distributions in accordance with statutory timelines.
