The Historic Resources Preservation Board appointed an acting chair at the start of the March 11 meeting after the regular chair was absent. A motion to select the acting chair carried by voice vote and the meeting proceeded under the acting chair's direction.
During department updates, Anne Hamilton announced that Yan will leave the department in two weeks for a remote position at a small tech firm and the board and staff offered best wishes. Yan said the role will help him stay closer to family and thanked the board for their support. "I appreciate it," Yan said, and board members wished him well.
