The Planning & Zoning Board approved an after‑the‑fact mural installation on the west facade of the Madison Terrace associated building at 821 South Dixie Highway. Rosie Escobar, community planner, presented renderings and explained the mural will be sublimated onto aluminum panels and attached to the building to ensure longevity. Staff determined the design met mural criteria and recommended approval with conditions.
Escobar identified the artist as Andrew Spear from Orlando and said the panels were specified to extend the life of the mural in coastal conditions. No public comment was offered at the hearing and the board approved the mural installation as recommended by staff.
