Council approves hiring Eric Colas for midyear park maintenance position

He operates a skid steer... and he can plow," a city staff member said, summarizing Colas’s qualifications and volunteer work preparing ballfields. Council voted to fill the midyear MEO position and to hire Eric Colas conditionally upon a background check and negative drug test.
Staff said the midyear hire would have negligible budget impact due to grade-level differences in recent hires and that the city would backfill other seasonal positions as needed.
