Council tables proposed City Recorder pay increase pending budget verification

City Recorder Nicole Tritten reminded the council that she did not include a pay increase for the City Recorder in the FY 2025–2026 budget. She said she drafted Resolution 575 to "show the increase the Council would have approved if an increase had been budgeted, and to leave open the option of an increase at the beginning of the 2026–2027 fiscal year."
The council decided to table Resolution 575 pending verification by Nicole that the current fiscal year budget could not accommodate a cost-of-living increase effective Jan. 1, 2026. The minutes do not record a formal mover or seconder for the tabling; Mayor Watson adjourned the Special Meeting at 7:27 p.m.
