Recorder Nicole Tritten presented the city's cash deposits, bank reconciliations and profit-and-loss reports and said she submitted documents requested by the auditor on Nov. 4 for the Agreed-Upon-Procedures process; auditor reports are due Dec. 31. She told the council she had not yet heard back from the auditor and expressed concern about lower property tax receipts this fiscal year compared with the prior year.
Councilor Deretta Huey moved to approve December expenditures totaling $95,579.71; Councilor Dylan Cheatham seconded and the motion passed 4–0. Tritten also reported that employee performance reviews were pending and recommended the council meet the week of Dec. 15 to discuss reviews and vote on pay increases. She said the City Engineer contract expires Dec. 5 and she would contact Principal Engineer Matt Wadlington about renewal, and that the Emergency Operations Plan consultant Stacy Burr set a Dec. 15 deadline for Westfir staff to submit requested EOP information.
