Summary

City Recorder Nicole Tritten presented multiple administrative and financial items to the Council. She said she had forwarded a draft Emergency Operations Plan to the Council on Dec. 29 and set a Feb. 6 deadline for returning edits to the plan writer. She also reported working with the City's attorney to draft an affidavit seeking an administrative warrant for direct nuisance abatement; she noted contingency funds would limit the scope of cleanup and asked whether to proceed — the Council confirmed she should continue the process.
Tritten reported that QuickBooks Desktop licensing costs had become prohibitive and that the City needed to switch to the cloud version prior to the desktop renewal on March 15. She also said that property tax receipts for the fiscal year were tracking on par with the prior year and projected the current budget could accommodate a 3% cost-of-living increase to her compensation, though no increase had been formally budgeted.
