Oakridge City Administrator James Cleavenger appeared in person to explain Travel Lane County’s Eugene Cascades & Coast Visitors Guide advertisement and asked Westfir to contribute $1,000 toward a projected $3,425 ad budget. The ad has historically been paid by Oakridge and the local Chamber; Oakridge covered the full cost the prior year after the Chamber closed.
Councilor Deretta Huey moved to contribute $1,000 from RTMP funds, payable to the City of Oakridge; Councilor Dylan Cheatham seconded. Councilor Jara Mouracade abstained, citing a conflict of interest (she is scheduled to advertise in the next Guide). The motion carried 3–0–1.
