The Shasta Union High School District Board of Trustees agreed that Student Board Members should attend all Board meetings and provide individual reports on a rotating basis. The minutes record the Board's preference that students sit at the dais on a rotation by availability and may present reports on behalf of fellow Student Board Members when those peers cannot attend.
Trustees also asked Superintendent Owen Crosby to coordinate with school principals so that each principal provides a monthly, structured report to the Board. The Board requested more structure for those presentations — for example, a handout listing upcoming events and relevant performance data — and expressed that having principals present provides an opportunity for immediate input when issues arise.
