Associate Superintendent of Business Services David Flores informed the Board that moisture was detected in the subgrade soil at the Foothill High School tennis courts renovation site and recommended additional days of materials testing and observation from Mid Pacific Engineering, Inc.
Flores said the extra testing is intended to confirm a stable base before proceeding with surfacing work. The Board later approved revised proposals with Mid Pacific Engineering for inspection services (recorded as RES. 25-191), with motions carried 5-0.
The action directs the District to secure sufficient geotechnical observation and materials testing to address the moisture issue before continuing construction activities.
