Board ratifies $5.2 million in warrants, approves routine items and appointments

The Shasta Union High School District Governing Board unanimously approved its meeting agenda and a series of routine actions at its Aug. 12 meeting.
Among the actions, the Board ratified commercial warrants totaling $5,199,631.87 and payroll distributions of $1,249,904.85 for the period July 1–31, 2025, and accepted the Quarterly Report of Investments. The Board also approved declaring certain District Office furniture surplus and updated the registry of International Student Exchange Placement Organizations.
Trustees acted on personnel and safety reports: the Human Resources Action Report and updates to site safety plans were approved, and the Board appointed Susan Vanderwerf to the Measure I Citizens’ Bond Oversight Committee to represent a senior citizens organization. Nearly all motions recorded in the minutes carried 5-0.
The Board also approved revised inspection proposals for the Foothill High School tennis courts and accepted the Proposition 28 Arts and Music in Schools Funding Annual Report. The meeting minutes show motions were moved and seconded as noted in the record and carried unanimously.
