Pete, a city staff member, asked the council to approve the fifth year of Clive’s Soil Quality Restoration Cost-Share Program and recommended awarding the contract to A Plus Lawn and Landscape. "We're entering into year 5 of the soil quality restoration cost share program," Pete said, adding staff expected to serve about 80 households and up to roughly 650,000 square feet this year.
Staff told council there was one bid from A Plus Lawn and Landscape at the same unit price as last year — 11¢ per square foot — and recommended awarding the contract. The council closed the public hearing, passed the resolution approving the program, received bids, and awarded the contract for $71,500 by unanimous 5-0 votes. Staff noted some residual funding from last year could extend the program slightly if needed.
