Eagle Scout refurbishes 'Keep Clive Clean' decals, builds map of markers

Carson Klein told the Clive City Council he spent the past seven months working with city staff on an Eagle Scout project to refresh the city’s 'Keep Clive Clean' decals and build a map to record their locations and conditions. "My name is Carson Klein, and this past 7 months, I've worked with the city of Clive on my Eagle Scout project," he said, and the council greeted the presentation with applause.
Klein said about 25 decals exist across Clive and that he personally redid or added 18 of them; he also added a clear coat to extend their life and created a GIS-based map so staff and volunteers can track decal condition and location. Council members and staff praised the effort and encouraged others who want to continue the work to use the GIS inventory Klein created.
