At its Aug. 11, 2025 special teleconference meeting, the Westfir City Council approved a motion authorizing $2,700 to purchase two custom trailers to transport water totes and pumps purchased in July for fire suppression. The motion was made by Mayor Richard Watson, seconded by Councilor Dylan Cheatham, and carried 4–0.
Attendance was recorded as Mayor Richard Watson; Councilors Dylan Cheatham, Jara Mouracade and Deretta Huey (Huey via audio); City Recorder Nicole Tritten appeared by video; Councilor Linda M. Love was absent. The minutes of the meeting were signed by the mayor and the city recorder on Sept. 8, 2025.
