At the hearing Orlando Rodriguez reported that Bayshore Yacht and Tennis Club condominium association continues to work toward building certification and currently has a building permit under review (permit number BLDR0001202025).
Rodriguez said fines at the property had been running for 789 days, totaling $197,250, and staff recommended fines continue until the building obtains certification. Mona Issa, the association's vice president, said the association is willing to comply but noted internal opposition from some owners and asked for outreach to explain the board's fiduciary duties and the purpose of assessments.
Rodriguez offered to meet with the association and suggested scheduling an outreach session to explain enforcement steps and the path to certification. The hearing recorded the recommendation to continue fines and to require a status report in August.
