Superintendent Dan Grabowska reported several budget and operations items the board should expect in May and the coming months.
"Two large purchases will be coming in May for StudySync and Story Maker," Grabowska reported, and he noted a health insurance quote showing an "8% increase." He also said the fuel-tank purchase is on hold while the district explores whether fuel will be available with purchase of the Y Stop, and that Mr. Grove has started work on a garden grant project. Additional items included an FFA flower sale scheduled for May 16, 2026 and planned staff travel to Atlanta (April 29-May 2) and Nashville (May 6-9).
The report frames near-term spending decisions for instructional materials and insurance premiums; the district will move forward with purchasing as budget allocations and vendor arrangements are finalized.
