Superintendent Dan Grabowska told trustees that state law requires the district to notify the public by March 31 if it intends to increase or decrease non‑voted permissive levies for the coming school fiscal year. "It is state law that a district notifies its public by March 31 of its intent to increase or decrease non‑voted permissive levies for the next budget year," Grabowska said, and he presented a Resolution of Notice of Intent to Impose an Increase in Levies for publication in the Carbon County News (AD# 727899).
The board voted unanimously to approve the resolution. The published notice includes estimates of mill changes and projected homeowner impacts for tax parcels with assessed values of $100,000, $300,000 and $600,000 and lists anticipated building-reserve projects such as construction and repairs, electrical and mechanical upgrades, weatherization, grounds and safety improvements.
