Roberts district to split cost with fire department for fuel tank, approves new snow plow

At the March 18 meeting Superintendent Dan Grabowska told the board the Roberts Fire Department asked the district to partner on buying and installing a self-contained fuel tank on a gravel pad. "The cost of the tank is $11,124.64 and the pad would be less than $5,000, both to be split between the Fire Department and Transportation Fund," Grabowska said. The board approved sharing the purchase; the motion was made by Michael Bissonnette and seconded by Debbie Hill, and it carried unanimously (YES—Norman, Bissonnette, Hill).
Grabowska also recommended replacing the district's plow. He said the district's existing plow is "completely worn out" and recommended purchasing a Boss V-Plow for $9,795 to be paid from the General Fund. The board voted unanimously to buy the plow from Rocky Mountain Truck and Trailer Equipment, which includes labor to install the unit.
