Superintendent Dan Grabowska recommended hiring for several activities positions for 2025–26: Melissa Bertolino as head high‑school volleyball coach, Tess Kosel as assistant high‑school volleyball coach, and Darryl Grove as head cross‑country coach as well as athletic director and FFA advisor. The board approved the recommendations by voice vote with Trustee Joel Bertolino recorded as abstaining because of a conflict of interest.
The hires were presented as part of the district’s annual staffing for extracurricular activities. Trustees did not discuss alternative candidates during the meeting; the superintendent noted there is no BPA advisor in place at this time and will continue recruitment for that role.
