Staff confirmed the village received a GFOA certificate for fiscal year 2025 and outlined the internal timeline for filing future budget documents. "When we finish the the budget process by September 30, we should file for the certificate no later than the end of December," Speaker 2 said. The board also discussed that the commission awarded the audit contract to CBIZ and that engagement paperwork and the engagement letter are pending before field work begins.
Separately, the board reviewed a $31,000 appropriation of fund balance as a budget amendment and the board discussed scheduling July and September meetings to accommodate budget workshops and public hearings. Chair moved to approve routine items and later made a motion to adjourn at 08:02; the motion was seconded and the meeting concluded.
Staff said they will circulate the engagement letter and more recent capital-project reports in advance of the next meeting.
