Stormwater bond projects advance; bids reviewed and North Bay Village phases planned

"So we pulled the 1st tranche down, which was, $10,000,000," Speaker 5 said. He described coordination with county environmental reviewers and the fire department and warned FDOT bridge-elevation work and drainage design could affect driveway and entrance elevations. He also described scope on Beachview Drive and North Bay Village where "there are 6 deepwater injection wells that will be installed right in the middle of the street."
Staff said traffic-control and police-overtime costs are the contractor's responsibility and that the village is preparing to break ground first on projects that do not require road elevation changes.
