District outlines parking-lot, HVAC and asbestos work in summer facilities report

"...it's gonna be a couple million dollars for that one because it's so big," the Superintendent said of a full parking-lot replacement, though the administration was presenting smaller patching options as alternatives.
Administrators also flagged asbestos in basement areas that is currently encapsulated and said they will develop a removal plan, cost and timeline for future board consideration. Other smaller projects discussed included track resurfacing, seal coating on high-school parking lots, exterior paint and front-step resurfacing.
Next steps: administration will provide refined cost estimates and a prioritization recommendation during upcoming budget and facilities planning meetings.
